Through artistic expression and symbolism . This collection is an interpretation of colonisation through an indigenous lens. The gorse is used as it has similar qualities to this works concepts. Gorse itself was an introduced species to Aotearoa . It arrived here, an introduction to being a species that will co inhabit the land alongside the native. The reality of intentions and ideals to reality is prevalent in New Zealand society and in the timeline of this introduced species.
